Design promotes the interaction between people and spaces, objects, images, etc; between ourselves and the world we live in. To me design is a very important aspect of my life. At a very young age I was exposed to color, shape, line, balance, technique; the principles and elements of design a five year old could understand. My father taught me how to draw, and from that moment on design became part of my life; a part of who I am as a person. Being able to express myself and being able to create something that people will enjoy and appreciate is one of the greatest pleasures. Seeing my ideas come to life and learning more through the process of its creation is what I love most about design.
I am currently a sophomore in the interior design program at Washington State University. Along with interior design courses, I have taken architecture and fine arts courses. I love design and art. I am constantly observing my surroundings and noting ideas for new projects and art pieces. On my free time I like to draw, paint, collage, and listen to music. A lot of the time music is my inspiration.
